# Universe Status

> Backtest universe completeness report (decommissioned).

The backtest_universe tape was retired (ADR-0001); the backtester reads
market_data_1min / v_market_data_daily on-the-fly. This endpoint no longer
queries the (dropped) table — querying it would 500 with UNKNOWN_TABLE — and
returns a decommissioned marker instead. The endpoint is unused by the UI;
full removal of it and its dead frontend hook is tracked as a follow-up.
