# Fork From Run

> Fork a research run's spec into a new, owned Strategy (interop Increment 3).

Salvage is intentional: any run with a reconstructable spec is forkable
regardless of its terminal verdict — a `rejected`/`not_yet` run is exactly
the case a user wants to hand-edit in the Lab and re-run Review/Develop on.
Only a run with no reconstructable spec at all (e.g. IDEATE never
completed) is refused.
