# Get Stream Token

> Issue a short-lived HMAC token for SSE streaming.

Token format: "timestamp:hmac_hex"
TTL: 5 minutes

No backend auth required — the Next.js auth wall gates access in production,
and the token itself is ephemeral (5-min HMAC). This ensures SSE streaming
works in all auth modes (none/graceful/strict) and local development.
